Diet Plan for Constipated Babies

Constipation is common in children. Constipation is an irritating and painful condition, not only for the adults but also for children. A constipated child can have bowel problems, hard and dry stool and large stools. Diet is better than any medicine. It is tested diet plan for constipated babies, which I always follow for my baby. He suffers from bad and prolonged constipation due to water change.

Morning

Lunch

Bed Time

9:00 pm

Day 1 Prune water Paratha Yogurt Wheat Pear Porridge Apple juice Plum and apricot puree Lukewarm Milk with butter(makhan)
Day 2 Prune Water Paratha Egg Banana& spinach puree Pear juice Mango, apple & dates puree Lukewarm Milk with butter
Day 3 BM/FM French Toast Chicken strips Strawberry & fig puree Rice with peas Lukewarm Milk with butter
 

Day 4

BM/FM Bread & egg Semolina porridge Apple juice Sweet potato & pear puree Simple Lukewarm Milk

 

Note: The first two days of diet plan is for the relief of constipation. If your kid didn’t poo after 2 days,  follow the diet plan of Day 2 for one more day.

For Infant

If your baby is 4 weeks old then add 1 teaspoon per 4 ounces of pear, apple or prune juice to Formula/Breastmilk. Don’t give more than 1 teaspoon per 4 ounces. just give a very little quantity to relief constipation of infant. You can also follow the Top Home Remedies for Constipation in Babies.
